Why I have decided to give up leggings

Leggings are worn to the movies, icre cream dates, the mall, grocery store, school the list could go on and on. Why you ask, well because many women have incorporated leggings into their daily pants wearing. I know you've all heard the saying leggings aren't pants. I am not here to bash that saying because I used to be one of those girls. Leggings in my book were everything.

I need to make a quick errand to Target "where are my leggings"? or to the gas station. I had no problem with throwing them on. I'll admit they're really comfy and require no outfit planning, but growing into the young woman that I am becoming the only time leggings should be worn is if you're staying in the house. As a young woman who is getting ready to graduate from college soon that is not appropriate work attire. I never want myself to get in the habit of comfortable clothing. Clothes should be comfortable, but not so that it makes you comfortable in other areas of life.

Another reason I have decided to give up leggings is because well, I do not have the biggest bum. I'm not totally flat lol, but I need some help back there. Nothing lifts my butt better than some jeans. Jeans fit and hug the curves I do have in such a nice way. I could never get that from leggings. As many of you might know when you wear leggings for so long they start to stretch. Which means they don't cling that well anymore. Plus I like to dress up which made me think to myself "Do I consider leggings to be dressy"? NO. I do not care even if they have a pattern. Again not bashing anyone who does wear leggings this is my reason I stopped wearing them.

Flower Child

Hey guys, sorry I've been gone so long. With finishing up exams and moving back home I've been busy. Last week was my first week back at my summer job and it was hectic. Usually I give myself  a month off before I go back and I'm starting to think I should have done so this time. Along with working I have a dresscode. Nothing, but a polo shirt and khaki pants. All I'm really working with is my face and jewelry. So Saturdays and Sundays are my dress up days. Today was a great day being that I got to celebrate my mom! I hope you all did as well too. I'm loving this floral skater skirt. It's so cute and not too snug. I felt like such a lady today. I love the setting of this picture the blossom tree, the petals, and of course me lol. The skirt is from Choies.com and my pink top was purchased from Burlington Coat Factory a year ago. My hair is au natural. Rock and love your curls. I know I do not say it, but feel free to comment at any time. I'll try to get back with you asap if you have any questions.

When you're waiting on your picture to be taken...

I LOVE black!!!

I told you guys how much I love Forever 21. I didn't mean to do this on purpose. Everything to my hat and necklace is from F21. How can you go wrong with black? It goes with anything and it slims nicely. I'm all about my fedora these days. When the wind is not blowing crazily. Whether I wear it because I want to look cute or wearing it on a bad hair day, it has become a staple of mine.

More from Baseball and Sneakers

Obviously

My ootd! I bought this obviously tank top from TJmaxx the other day. You can pair it with jeans, a skirt, leggings, shorts, whichever is your liking.

Baseball Tee and Sneakers

Omg it took me forever to finally get this photo. My friend had taken some pictures of me on her phone and forgot to send them to me lol! I finally have them and that's what counts. I got this top from Plato's Closet. Best thing about it, it was still brand new. It had the H&M tag and all.

Sakura Skater Skirt

YAYYY!!! I'm so happy that I finally bought myself a high waisted pleated skirt. I love these skirts because they have an elegance and class about them. Perfect for church, a lunch date, or spending a day downtown! The best part about this skirt is that right now on Choies.com it's only $13. Follow me on Instagram @uniquelyniara!

Flannel, Tights, Highwaisted Shorts

Beauty Haul NYX

Hey ladies, no I do not have a clothes piece for today, but I did want to show you my new beauty products. Not too long ago I was introduced to Ulta. I don't know why I had never gone to this place before. It's literally every woman's dream. Any and every type of makeup you want. I was also introduced to NYX. I am now in love with their lipliners and buttergloss! The lipliner provides that matte look you desire and the buttergloss well lol butters your lips. The foundation is good too! Goes on smooth and has a matte finish. The last one is Revlon's stormy night nail lacquer. I like this nude color because it's not too dark, but not too light either for my skin.

Kimono for Days

Florals

Spring is here!

Never be afraid to look forward!

Me trying to channel an artsy pose. This simple look is great for a night on the town or a casual day. The shirt is from Target, highwaisted jeans are from H&M, booties DSW, and fedora is from Forever21. You guys will soon find out I adore Forever21 and H&M!

I love this look! This was my first item of clothing that I've ever bought from Carson's. I'll admit I shop on a budget and I love to buy many pieces for less. I couldn't leave Miss Orange behind. I got her for $10 bucks.

Showing Grizzly Love!

My crewneck shirt is from Forever21 and my OU hat was free of course. One can never go wrong with free school gear.

Faux Vests and Booties

So I was never a fan of faux vest because I thought they were a bit much, but I love them now! The best thing about this one was that it was only $20 at Burlington Coat Factory!
